Programs

Infant Program

Our infant program is based on the belief that infants need consistent love, attention, praise, concern, and care.  We maintain a commitment to the physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth of each child.
At Ages In Stages, we know that every child has individual needs. That’s why we talk, cuddle, clap, and do everything possible to bond with your baby to develop a sense of trust. Through games like peekaboo and reading stories throughout the day, our teachers begin the foundational work for later learning and help infants grow in areas such as:

  • Language development — reading and singing songs
  • Cognitive development — using activities like peekaboo, and reach and grasp games
  • Motor Skill development — grasping toys, tummy time, encouraging rolling and holding up head
  • Sensory development — touching items with various textures and feeling materials to provide sensory quiet and nap time

Toddler Program

Our toddlers are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play.  Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play.  Their days are filled with music, art, dance, story times and more. This environment will not only be safe, it will allow children’s curiosity to direct their learning, promote respect for things and people, and help the teacher guide the children. We focus on potty training when child and parents are ready and beginning preschool readiness. At this age, children make new discoveries daily.   As two-year-olds begin to express their independence, our program introduces them to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Everything we do is designed to prepare your child for preschool education.  The children are a mastery of their colors, shapes, potty training, and beginning independence.  Our program includes:

  • Encouragement and support that builds your child’s self-confidence and self-help skills
  • Opportunities for your child to express him or herself creatively through music, arts, dance and drama
  • A classroom environment that focuses on building your child’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills
  • Age-appropriate activities and materials that help your child master important learning concepts

Preschool Program

Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the curriculum we follow is packed with educational elements. Games abound that teach pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness, letter and sound recognition; basic math concepts; and hands on science exploration.

We focus on Themed units that encourage your child’s curiosity, increase confidence, and support self-directed activities. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children develop a variety of skills and knowledge in areas like early literacy, mathematics, science, and social skills. Our program includes:

  • Hands-on experiences designed to boost problem solving and scientific thinking skills
  • Daily small-group and whole-group activities
  • Letter and number recognition
  • Structured routines and understanding rules and responsibilities.

Pre-K Program

Prekindergarten is a time when children are making connections between what they know and what they are learning. As they leave Pre-K and head towards kindergarten, children are learning to participate in routines, demonstrate ability to make decisions, and plan ahead. Our program includes:

  • Activities and lessons that help prepare your child for kindergarten and school success
  • Small-group lessons focused on mathematics, and literacy
  • Whole-group activities that help your child build an awareness of others and a sense of community
  • Hands-on experiences that encourage independent, creative learning
  • Classroom activities and design features that help your child build literacy and numeracy skills.
